Historic records indicate today’s Armour Motor Inn is built on the site of an old Blacksmiths shop where part of the Kelly Gang’s armour was made, hence our name. It is also the site where Ned Kelly’s famous fight occurred close to the entrance of our motor inn, making us a great place to begin your Ned Kelly Bushranger Gang journey of discovery.
The Armour Motor Inn offers two storey’s of single, couple, family and group accommodation options, all furnished in classic decor for your comfort and enjoyment. We also invite you to enjoy our seasonal solar heated in-ground swimming pool and relax in the private gardens with BBQ facilities during your stay.
We provide a small off street parking area which accommodates one vehicle per room. Please give us a call if you are planning on bringing a trailer or extra vehicles and our friendly staff will be happy to discuss other parking options with you.
Our Cycle Friendly Accreditation and our Motel being only 30 metres from the Murray to Mountain Rail Trail, makes us a popular choice amongst cycling and walking enthusiasts.
We provide limited bike storage onsite but are happy to make other arrangements for bike storage, give us a call and find out what we can do for you.

Beechworth is central to Victoria’s wonderland of natural amenities, the High Country, King Valley and Alpine Wine Region’s and North East Valley farm gate purveyors. We are approximately 1½ hours from the Victorian Snow Fields including Mt Buffalo, Falls Creek and Mt Hotham.
